Deviled Egg

Being a fan of eggs, I used to gobbled up this hors d’oeuvre when I got a chance. But now I have to be a bit careful since “calories” is part of the concern. It is a pretty common dish in States but surprisingly it actually started in Rome. Check out what Wiki has to say about the history of it.

What you need to know
The basic ingredients used to make deviled eggs are mayo, mustard,white vinegar and hot sauce like Tabasco. Just mix it with the cooked yolk. Here, the mixture is up to you. Some people like it a bit tight but some people like it soft and silky. I like the in-between of coz. You can also add veges like chives, onion, bell peppers, sweet relish but make sure you minced them fine. Try put some cili api (Thai chilli) to kick it up a notch. After you’re done with the filling, pipe it into the cooked egg white. Finally top it with pieces of shrimp, turkey or bacon and you’re done.
